When playing the keyboard you have to have one finger per key to play correctly and use thumb tuck when playing.

What are Chords?
The chords are the musical notes on the keyboard that you press to make the sound heard.
There are different types of chords that all have individual sounds, these different chords are Major chords and Minor chords.
The difference between Major and Minor chords is that Major chords sound more positive and upbeat, whereas Minor chords are the opposite, Minor chords are more lower and have a negative, sad sound. Major and Minor chords have opposite sounds to each other.

Posture when playing
When playing the keyboard your posture is important, the correct posture is sitting up tall at the keyboard or even at a computer, if you slouch when playing the keyboard it can cause you to suffer with back problems and sitting correctly when playing will prevent any back issues which may occur. Also sitting correctly will better your playing, sitting tall, feet flat on the ground, and a comfortable chair is important too.
Your wrists need to be in the correct position too when playing,having your wrists in the correct position will prevent pains and aches in your wrists and will prevent your muscles aching. Also having your wrists in the correct position will be better for you when playing the keyboard you will be able to play better.

The image above shows you should be sat upright to prevent back problems and pain your hands/wrists should be in the correct postition when playing. Also a comfortable chair is needed so your comfortable when sat at the keyboard/piano.
There are several piano exercises to learn and do to help improve your playing skills and technique. These exercises are to help you with your hand/wrist posture when playing. Good posture will better your playing.
Hanon Piano Exercise: The Hanon exercise helps you improve your playing ability, it helps you play the keys more accurate. You can learn the basics of the exercises, the exercises improve and better your playing. The more exercises you practice and learn, you will soon notice your finger posture will improve and your playing ability will become better. This is a positive thing to learn as its useful. By learning different exercises It will help your confidence, especially if you're a beginner, you will be able to recognize the notes clearer and your playing will eventually sound more professional after practice of playing piano exercises.
Shannon Piano Exercise: Shannon piano exercises are good for you wrists, they help with your playing skills. Exercises like these are good to help improve your ability to play the keyboard. Practising these exercises will also boost your confidence to play and it will be fun to do as it gives you something to do and learn whilst playing.
Remember When playing...
Not to bend your wrists, why? because it will cause aches and pains. Make sure your wrists are in the correct position and keep both wrists and arms straight and equal.
Whilst playing, make sure you are playing in time and to a rhythm and keep practising piano exericses to improve playing ability,skills and confidence. Also remember the Tempo of the sound when playing, Tempo is the speed so you need to play at the correct speed of the Tempo.
Chord Porgression: Chord progression is all about three main chords which are mostly used in pieces of music. The three most common chords are C, F and G, which are also often reffered as 1-4-5 ( I, IV,V) These chords are the most popular chords used and played to create music.
IV is also another chord but this one is a Relative Minor Chord so with this added on it would be C,F,G, Ami also known as I,IV,V, and IV. As this chord is a Relative Minor key.
